Electric cars are becoming increasingly accessible and therefore increasing popular for drivers around the country. With the Government ruling that new petrol and diesel vehicles will be outlawed from 2030, there’s a stronger, more focused push for electric cars. With that in mind, we’re going to give you a rundown of some of the most hotly-anticipated electric cars of 2021.
If it isn’t already, Tesla is becoming synonymous with electric cars. Providing luxury and performance in equal measure, the car is seen as a status symbol of sorts – they certainly turn heads when seen out on the road or plugged in and charging on a driveway. There are several Tesla models available: the Model S, Model X, Model Y and Model 3, with the latter being the most popular.
The Model 3 ranges from £42,500 to £55,500 for the performance version, making it Tesla’s most affordable car. It’s not a ponderous vehicle either – 0-60mph can be achieved in 5.2 seconds in the standard model, with the Performance version doing it in 3.2 seconds. The Performance Model 3 also packs the equivalent of 449hp.
The car itself looks fantastic, and the interior boasts an enormous touchscreen hub for viewing routes, audio/media control and much more. The car can cover between 267 miles and 360 miles on a single charge, with the latter only possible with the long-range version. With the Model 3, you get style, performance and endurance.
